National Dollhouse Miniature Month - Day 3 - Inspiration

Have you ever gotten a card that you just loved.   I did - it was this little toy shop.   I really can't remember who sent it to us, but I loved it and probably had it in my stash for at least 10 years.   Then one day, I got this great cigar box that had a wood sliding lid that I was able to cut a square out of in order to insert a thin sheet of clear plastic so you could see thru the card.
This was one of the first boxes that I wired.   I hid the battery pack in the little gift box on top.

Sometimes inspiration isn't always the miniature, it's something else.

I love reading about your inspiration for a scene. I would never have thought to use a card that way. Very cute.
