My love of Raggedy Ann started when I was a child. This little doll was by my side all the time and was quite a companion. Unfortunately she met with a terrible fate. She was left outside late one fall and was lost there and fell victim to the perils of winter. Unfortunately, I didn't get another Raggedy until I was 16.
She also came with a Raggedy Andy. I still have both, some 46 years later. RA&A have been cared for much better than the one I had when I was 6.

That is when you knew that you were meant to be a collector.. Adorable picture.
Yes - some things are just destiny.
Awwwwwwww..... what a sweet picture! You were a nurse at a very early age. :-) It looks like your raggedy was a Silsby, a gorgeous one. I'm so sorry to hear what happened to her. Some of my old dolls (not raggedys) had their toes chewed off by our dogs when I left them outside.
Thank you for sharing.

Hello my friend...
Ahhh...such a sweet photo!!! I'm so sorry to hear about your very first Raggedy Ann! I remember having three different sets of Raggedy Ann and Andy's throughout my childhood...sure wished that I still had them! Boohoo! I think I told you that I loved Raggedy Ann and Andy sooo much that I decorated my first born daughter's nursery with them! It was the cutest little nursery ever with the red and white checks and blue! Of course there was a big ol' Raggedy Ann and Andy for my daughter to enjoy when she grew just a bit too!
Thanks for joining up with the Sunday Favorites party this week, my friend!
Hope you're having a super Sunday!
