Toy Shop
Toys, toys, toys. I love toys and have made and collected lots of them in years and years of swapping. Thought this little background, from one of those printed gift bags, inside a plastic paint can would make a great background. Had an extra plant stand from my last year's trip to the St. Louis Miniature show and thought it would make a great stand for toys. Intend to top off the can with a big red bow and a gift card on the side that says "Santa, I can explain...". Mostly done, thought I would share.
Candle Shop
I love candles and have participated in several swaps where I have accumulated quite a few candles. I also, in my packrat mode, have several of those gift bags with scenes on them. They were quite popular a few years back. I cut wallpaper for the ends, put up plexiglass to keep the bag solid. I haven't quite figured out what to do with the top, but so far the plexiglass keeps it clean. Like the way it looks so far.
Mary Englebreit Clock
I just love everything Mary Englebreit. I am stashing away items to do an entire house, but not quite there yet. I had this borning, nondescript grandfather clock. It made quite a drastic redo. I think it will be just perfect for the house when ready.

Tea Shop
I had a terrible time working on this hat box/tea time room. I've had it done a couple of times and now I think I have it right. It was TOO DARK. Added a light. Improvement, but not perfect. Then I decided the opening was TOO SMALL. Took everything out and then cut the opening larger, retrimmed it, then put everything back in its place. I'm happy with it now. You know the feeling when something isn't right, but you hate to tear it up. Sometimes you just have to. Enjoy. the pictures. The top pictures are after the Re-do. The lower ones show the smaller opening. I also decided I liked woman with the apron, standing instead of sitting.
