Tablescape Thursday - Breakfast for Two

I have only one table, and it is a small one - only 36 inches. It seats 4 cozily and 2 comfortably. Not generally a problem, but limits the amount of dishes you can have on it. I decided to show off some of my snowmen. Love them, love them, love them. Since Key West hasn't even experience a frost, let alone a snow - it's a strange collection for here, but I do love them. I have been every inspired by Susan at Between Naps on the Porch (http://www.betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/) and decided to do some table scape.

The dinner plate is Corelle and available at most Walmarts. The snowmen dishes were obtained from Byrons in Key West in their going out of business sale. The salt and pepper shaker were from a thrift shop. The crystal glasses from a yard sale; the mugs a gift. Flatware from Ross and made by Cambridge Silversmith Ltd. Very reasonable for a 20 piece box of flatware.

For those of you that know that I am a miniaturist - behind the tale are shelves holding about 17 room boxes, vignettes.

Bedroom decorated for Christmas

I love to decorate for Christmas, but my poor bedroom generally doesn't get any attention at all. This year, I decorated it first with a new Christmas quilt. My dolls were clean. The collage Christmas tree was a joint project with my mother. She gave hers to my little sister. The pinecone wreath was done with my sister's pinecones (oh yes, I made her one too). The photos on the wall are all something to do with the sea or lake etc. I did about half of them and purchased the rest on vacations. Love things connected with water.

It is nice to have the bedroom looking festive.

Dolls, Dolls, Dolls

Although Raggedy Ann and Andy are my favorites, I do have quite a few other dolls. Bless their little hearts, they were very dusty. They are all nicely clean and it inspired me to decorate my bedroom for Christmas. Those pictures later. But I thought I would share my dolls with you. They are not arranged in any particular order, just where they fit on the shelf.

Happy Thanksgiving

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving. I am very thankful for my family and friends, my health, my pets, my location (Key West) and the ability to thoroughly enjoy each and every day. My picture today is a bountiful harvest (in miniature, of course) and I hope each and every one of you are having just that - a bountiful harvest. Enjoy.

Little girls in polymer clay

One of the miniature groups I belong to has been doing calendar babies each month. Well, I didn't get into that, but decided I would try a baby or two to see if there was a possibility I could do them at some later time. Well, these aren't real good and they aren't a real good scale (too big), but I might have to try my hand at more.

Follow up to Day 11 - Oct 11, National Dollhouse Miniature Month

I posted a challenge to myself to finish some little men done in polymer clay. Well that didn't happen during the month, but it is moving on. I finished one little guy and have a bartender ready to finish. I really wanted gray bunka for the hair but settled on what I had. He needs a beer in front of him and some accessories, but so far he is coming right along.
