Metamorphis Monday - Saving Memories

Do you have any gift tags, the kind that come with flowers or a special remembrance of some sort. I always think I will put them in a scrapbook, but that never happens. I've decided I would save them and laminate them and use them for bookmarks. Every time I pick up a book I'm reading, I am reminded of a great time or special well wishes from someone I consider very special.

Acorn Wood Cottage

I've finished my latest project and that is the Acorn Wood Cottage by Jill Castoral and Pat Holstrom. Such a great kit. I haven't decided how I want it furnished just yet, so I put a For Sale and Open House signs out front. When the new owner moves in, it will be furnished and the signs will come down,. Such a great kit - east to put together. It is in a glass dome, but I photographed it before putting the dome on to keep the glare to a minimum. Scale is quarter scale - maybe a tad smaller.

I love Pineapples - Welcome to my mini Pineapple Farm

I love pineapples and for years I've cut off the end and planted it in the dirt. Well in the Midwest, this was always nice greenery. Imagine my surprise a few years ago when out popped a pineapple. This is the first time I've had two at the same time and I am thrilled. Thought you might enjoy seeing my mini pineapple farm. They don't get quite a big as commercially grown pineapples, but they are certainly sweet and delicious.

Bookends - Sweet Dreams

I ordered a kit to do these bookends from Cascade Miniatures. I wasn't sure what I would put in the 4 individual rooms but decided bedrooms would be great. Gives me a chance to furnish different types of rooms. Sweet dreams as you browse the rooms.

The scale is quarter inch scale. The rooms are wired.
