Mini Perfume Shop

This is a little perfume shop in miniature. It is constructed in a box that is designed to hole photographs. The lid is removed for this photo so I don't get the glass relection in the shot. It has lots of perfume bottles, gift items, bath salts and everything to make the woman feel good.

Miniature - Farm Stand

I had such fun creating this mini scene. I loved the stand and then participated in 3 or 4 farm stand, farmer's market, roadside stall swaps on the internet; then I had tons of stuff to make a very full stand. Lot of great fruits, veggies and flowers.

Other passions

In addition to Raggedies, I absolutely love miniatures. This is a scene I call sisters. The girls are both from the same mold (from Dana, the dollmaker) and dressed quite differently. I bought the dolls and finished them. One sister is from Florida (guess where I live) and one from the midwest (where I used to live). It has tons of little things in the very small scene, i.e. flowers, dog, sewing basket, cookies, games and the dog. I made the green chair too.

More minis

I found this cute little Ann on ebay some time ago - but she isn't so sweet. She ripped the head off her teddy bear. Oh well - the bear must have made her mad.

More miniatures

I thought you might like to see my first grouping of Raggedy minis. It's in a 6 inch dome in a cute little chair. I put two handmade raggedies in the chair and lots of little ones around the base. Too many to fit in just the front - so they continue around the back.

Time flying

Oops - where did the weekend go. Didn't have any time to do any fun things with Raggedies. I did find one more on ebay that should be here in a few days. When it comes in, I will post a picture of my newest addition.

More pictures of the girls

I absolutely love my collections, especially the Raggedy Collection. I have a very small house and a very large collection so they must be grouped very closely together. There are more and they will be posted later.

Raggedy Christmas Tree

These were taken a couple of years ago before Hurricane Wilma. I lost a few ornaments in that little storm. However, the collection has grown and grown. It is a small tree (about 4 feet) and is just covered. If I can find more current pictures I will post them too. It is by far my favorite Christmas tree.
The first picture was taken last December. A much fuller tree. I just love those Raggedy ornaments.

Use for old lightbulbs

Old lightbulbs are good to make Raggedy Ann Christmas ornaments. They were great fun to make and great fun to give to my sorority, Beta Sigma Phi. I love Christmas and one of my favorite activities is to decorate a small tree with all Raggedy ornaments. I will post pictures in my next blog of my Christmas Tree.

Long time love of Raggedy Ann

My love of Raggedy Ann started when I was a child. This little doll was by my side all the time and was quite a companion. Unfortunately she met with a terrible fate. She was left outside late one fall and was lost there and fell victim to the perils of winter. Unfortunately, I didn't get another Raggedy until I was 16.
She also came with a Raggedy Andy. I still have both, some 46 years later. RA&A have been cared for much better than the one I had when I was 6.
